Despite the fact that NFTs have exploded in popularity over the last few months, they’ve actually been around for a few years now. The first NFT was created by Kevin McCoy and Anil Dash in 2014 and the piece was named Quantum. Obviously, since then NFTs have come to the forefront of public consciousness, and artists all over the world have been clamoring to get exposure and money for their works. With all of these artists about, it can be hard to find truly incredible talents. That’s why we’ve come up with this list of six NFT artists that might go viral in 2021.

Of course, saying that an artist might go viral is just a prediction, we can’t guarantee online fame and reputation. The artists on this list all bring something unique and valuable to the table, we won’t be going over any artists that are currently household names. We want to talk about the smaller artists that are fighting to get recognized. The ones who have such passion and skill for their craft that it’s almost criminal that they haven’t been noticed earlier. So, sit back, relax and get ready to see some truly incredible pieces of art.

SOLOR

SOLOR is the first artist that we’re going to be looking and he’s also one of the most interesting in this article. SOLOR has been in the art scene for a long time, more than twenty years in fact and his artworks display both experience and creative poise that demonstrates his continued love for what he does. SOLOR creates eye-catching art that makes use of repeating colors that blend in and out of each other. These colors and patterns are created when he puts himself into a deep meditation, he then creates what he sees after he has meditated. This is achieved through a mix of painting and photo editing.

Looking at the piece above, you can really see what I’m talking about and how SOLOR’s visions influence his work. You may be surprised to know that these pieces don’t come around quickly. In fact, they can take several weeks, or even months to be completed. That alone would justify paying good money for it, but the overall quality and splendor of SOLOR’s work is the main reason why he is going to be one of the six NFT artists that could go viral in 2021. If you’re interested in his artwork, he a new drop coming up on the 28th of April which you can find on Rarible at 02:00 GMT + 2. Don’t miss out!

Travis Van Zanen

Travis Van Zanen, an Australian digital artist that also goes by the name ‘Big Swan’ is an example of an exciting NFT artist that could blow up at any moment. His own brand of NFT art is centered around the use of his VR headset to create stunning dreamscapes that make you feel like you’re in a completely different world. Travis himself has admitted that he has struggled to break out due to the fact that many museums and galleries don’t have the facilities to properly display his work. It’s not the same as an image, you need to experience it in VR.

Thankfully, Travis has now managed to find some success with his artworks, with a few of them selling for prices in the thousands of dollars. He has also formed a collaboration with a prominent Roman art gallery, which will undoubtedly add to his growing reputation within the world of NFTs. In our view, it’s only a matter of time before Travis blows up and goes viral, which is nothing short of what he deserves for gracing us with such beautiful pieces of art. Pieces that truly capture the imagination and take you to different places.

Nathaniel Parrott

Nathaniel Parrott is a Seattle-based NFT artist that has already taken great steps forward into the growing NFT market. For example, his work titled ‘The Initiation’ is a looping animation that has its own original soundtrack worked into it. This piece is currently in the possession of the Museum of Crypto Art, which already shows that he is generating some exposure. Despite this, he has not yet hit viral fame, but if he continues to produce great work like the below, then surely it won’t be long before it happens. He has stated that NFTs are less about looking at the art and more about owning it.

Parrott believed for years that he could only make it as an artist if he worked in the games or film industry, which would hamstring his creativity. Now, thankfully with the power of NFTs, he is able to create the artwork that inspires him, as well as allowing him to make a very decent living off of the back of it. If you’re interested in finding out more about his work, then you should keep your ear to the ground for any news. Be prepared, because he might be going viral very soon.

Trevor Jones

Trevor Jones is a Scottish NFT artist that has already gained some attention because of his fabulous pieces. Despite this, Jones still hasn’t achieved viral fame and that is a true shame considering the quality of his work. Despite this, he is still making a success from his work, selling many of his pieces for thousands and even selling his first-ever NFT for over $10,000. He is most well-known for his works on Picasso’s Bull, which has multiple variations of and they range in price depending on the color of the bull. If you haven’t heard of Trevor Jones before, then you may be more familiar with his artwork collaboration with Jose Delbo, an acclaimed comic book artist. The pair worked together on a stunning rendition of Batman in both a pencil and ink sketch, which was then turned into an oil canvas piece. The dynamic duo then worked to get both images side by side on a digital canvas to create a brilliant contrasting effect for the piece. If you’re only just finding out about Trevor Jones and you’re a fan of his work, then you should definitely consider checking up on what he currently has to offer.

Planttdaddii

Planttdaddii, who also goes by the name Sam Clover is an NFT artist that attempts to make use of weird, yet wonderful fauna and flora to create pieces of art that genuinely look like they could be alive. The best way to describe her artworks would be to call them digital sculptures and with the overall love and care that goes into her work, along with her passion, it won’t be a shock to see her going viral very soon. Down below, you can see an example of what I mean in her piece titled ‘MONSTER S!DE’.

(SuperRare)

Looking at this piece of artwork, you can see that she has a very surrealist style and the two birds in the image actually look like they could somehow be real. This is in spite of the fact that the actual images defy the laws of possibilities. If you’re interested in seeing more of her work, then you should visit her page on SuperRare, under the name Planttdaddii. By doing so, you’ll be helping her to get the credit that she deserves for these stunning pieces that she is producing.

Rare Scrilla

Rare Scrilla is probably the most multi-faceted inclusion on this list as he is a DJ and talented music producer, in addition to his skills in digital art. He has recently released a series of 1/1 audio NFTs that is called the “MAM” series, or Mind Altering Money. The collection itself is comprised of pen and marker drawings that are then brought into the digital world through the use of Photoshop and Final Cut. To complete the works, he then layers his own music on top of it and the result is psychedelic, trippy, and just fantastic overall.

(CryptoArt)

Scrilla is already enjoying some success in the NFT market, with sales totaling over $100,000 and his biggest sale coming from the above piece of work titled ‘Pyrex Picasso’. This specific piece was sold in October 2020 for the value of $22,973.90. This proves that his work is desirable and that people are willing to part with a lot of money for it. Knowing this, it’s looking increasingly likely that Scrilla is going to be one of the six NFT artists that might go viral in 2021.
